Dove "Family-Approved" Seal for Ages 12+

    ages 12 and over

This faith-friendly film is a loyal presentation of John Bunyan's famous novel. It features a lot of symbolism and characters with names such as Pilgrim, Faithful, Pliable, and Evangelist. In a neat contrast to Pliable, one character is named Obstinate. This is a remarkable story of one's spiritual journey through life and the pitfalls and slippery places which can trip up a dedicated Christian. Temptation is never far away and evil does not quit easily in its quest for souls.

The film is narrated by George Beverly Shea, the famous Billy Graham Evangelistic Association singer. Also featured is a young Liam Neeson as Evangelist and we see him play Christ on the cross. The film opens with a repeated quotation of Romans 6:23 about the wages of sin paying death, and the movie is about the decisions one makes along with the consequences, both good and bad. We are pleased to award this loyal treatment of John Bunyan's novel our Dove "Faith-Friendly" Seal for ages twelve and above.
